SUMMARY: As a Pressing Technician in our Bond Department, you will be responsible for the pressing, firing, inspection, and mounting of resin, vitrified and metal bonded products. Duties include cleaning and assembly of molds, filling and pressing/firing of product, maintaining equipment and tooling, keeping accurate records, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.l role in our company's commitment to excellence and ongoing success.
HOURS:
1st shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read, understand, and follow work orders, formulation sheets, and engineering drawings.
Clean molds and properly store them.
Load and press powdered cores; extract pressed cores from molds.
Press DW product and use “old style” molds to press abrasive sections.
Inspect products using scales, calipers, and micrometers.
Visually inspect tooling for flaws, imperfections, or damage pre- and post-pressing.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations, while properly using and maintaining PPE.
Report time and material in manufacturing systems.
Perform other duties as required.
