SUMMARY:  As a Maintenance Specialist at Continental Diamond Tool, you'll be a key player in the seamless functioning of our facility. Your role involves the routine maintenance and handling of basic/minor repairs for our equipment. This includes tasks like changing filters, coolant, fluids, some fabrication work, and collaboration with our engineering and manufacturing teams on various projects. HOURS: 3rd shift scheduled hours are Monday -Thursday 8:00 pm to 6:00 am. There is a $1.50/hr. shift premium for these entry-level, full-time positions with opportunities for overtime. Check out this video from one of our 3rd shift managers to learn more about what it's like working nights at CDT.

DUTIES:

  • Required to read, understand, and follow blueprints/Engineering drawing, direction from leadership on the tasks/projects you are asked to do.

  • Use and maintain all tools, equipment, and maintenance areas.

  • Able to take direction and communicate/work with manufacturing and/or engineering on process improvements and minor projects.

  • Utilizes forklift and/or overhead lifting equipment, chains, slings, and magnetics to safely lift, move and store materials

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and properly using and maintaining PPE

  • Perform other duties as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Safely run and use required equipment

  • Correctly and accurately use, inspect, and maintain tools and equipment

  • Required to read and understand work instructions.

  • Highschool diploma or GED

PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • 3+ years of related experience

  • Functional and technical skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Attention to detail and have sound judgment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch

  • Regularly lift and move up to 50lbs
