SUMMARY: Continental Diamond Tool is looking for a Sieving and Sizing Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a range of tasks, including acid cleaning, sieving, weighing, and the precise labeling of abrasive containers. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our high standards of quality and safety are meticulously maintained. Moreover, your role will involve detailed record-keeping, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. HOURS: 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
DUTIES:
Required to read, understand, and follow work orders, processes, and procedures.
Able to use chemicals, sieving and sizing equipment to process material safely and accurately
Perform quality checks on batches of abrasives per ANSI standards; B74232002, B74162002
Ability to correctly and accurately weigh and label product using required equipment
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and properly using and maintaining PPE
Report time and material in manufacturing systems
Participate in regularly scheduled acid changes
Perform other duties as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Safely run and use required equipment
Required to read and understand work instructions, paperwork, and drawings
High school diploma or GED
PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Good hand eye coordination
Strong mechanical aptitude
High level of interpersonal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and have sound judgment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequently required to walk
Stand for long periods of time
Regularly lift and move up to 50lbs
