CNC Machinist – Precision Turning Specialist

SUMMARY:  We are seeking an skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our expanding team. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth and the launch of new products. You will play a key role in producing high-precision, one-off, or very small batch components using advanced CNC machinery, primarily in a turning environment.

We’re looking for someone with a progressive mindset, who embraces new technology, enjoys the challenge of complex, close -tolerance work and is confident working with Fanuc or Siemens-based control systems.

HOURS:
Monday to Friday

JOB DUTIES:

  • Set and operate CNC turning machines (Haas, FANUC or Siemens controls) to produce precision components from engineering drawings

  • Carry out your own in-process inspection using micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators and depth gauges

  • Take ownership of your work from setup through to sign-off

  • Uphold health, safety and housekeeping standards throughout the shift

  • Take part in daily team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement

  • Support colleagues and work collaboratively across departments

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Confident operating either Haas, FANUC or Siemens control systems

  • Able to read and work from engineering drawings, including GD&T

  • Competent with workholding and tooling setup for turned components

  • GCSE Maths grade C / 4–5 or above

  • Comfortable using basic Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years' hands-on CNC machining experience, ideally in turning (Strong milling background considered if you're keen to move into turning)
