SUMMARY:  Continental Diamond Tool is looking for a Waste Management and Quality Inspection Technician is responsible for ensuring product quality through detailed inspection processes, maintaining environmental compliance through proper waste management, and supporting electroplating operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

HOURS: 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Quality Inspection & Reporting

  • Inspect plated goods using multiple inspection equipment, including the Keyence VHX Microscope.

  • Confirm particle exposure and nickel deposit thickness.

  • Create detailed inspection reports to verify compliance with specificationsInspect plated

WASTE MANAGEMENT & ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL:

  • Neutralize pH levels of waste streams.

  • Prepare waste for scheduled pickups and proper disposal.

  • Maintain accurate records of waste treatment and disposal activities.

ELECTROPLATING OPERATIONS:

  • Perform strip and replate operations.

  • Load and unload tooling for plating processes.

  • Monitor plating chemistries and conduct chemical analyses to ensure bath integrity.

  • Tear down and set up bath chemistries for production processes.

DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCE:

  • Record plating parameters, chemical analyses, and inspection results.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.

  • Follow strict safety, environmental, and quality protocols.

  • Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree in chemistry, materials science, or related field preferred.

  • Prior experience in manufacturing or quality control environments is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
