Saw /Receiving Technician
SUMMARY: Responsible for sawing material for all product lines and projects as specified on drawings and/or job paperwork. This will include tasks such as using several types of band saws and cut-off saws, maintain quality and safety standards, maintaining equipment and tooling, keeping records.
HOURS: 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
DUTIES:
Required to read, understand and follow work orders and engineering drawing.
Measures and verifies material type and length utilizing tape measure, scales, and calipers
Selects the proper equipment, blades, speeds, and feeds to safely and efficiently cut material
Utilizes overhead lifting equipment, chains, slings, and magnetics to safely lift, move and store materials
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
Report time and material in manufacturing systems
Perform other duties as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Safely run and use required equipment
Required to read and understand work instructions, paperwork, and drawings
Strong time management and organizational skill
Correctly and accurately inspect product using required equipment
Highschool diploma or GED
PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Strong mechanical aptitude
3+ years of related experience
Functional and technical skills
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail and have sound judgment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequently required to walk
Standing for long periods on time
Seldom required to stoop, kneel, or crouch
Regularly lift and move up to 50lbs
