Environmental Health and Safety Director
This position is responsible will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all EHS programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe and healthy work environment. The candidate must be available during production hours and have 7-10 years of experience.
SUMMARY: The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Director at Continental Diamond Tool will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all EHS programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe and healthy work environment. This full-time role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of EHS principles in a manufacturing setting. The candidate must be available during production hours.
DUTIES:
Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Design and execute comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Training and Education: Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into EHS incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing sites comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance and reduce risks.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of EHS activities, incidents, and compliance efforts.
Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance to EHS teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.
PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Certifications: Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Certification, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent certifications preferred.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Proficient in EHS software and tools.

Maintenance Technician
This position is responsible for routine maintenance and basic/minor repairs of equipment within the facility. This position is entry-level, full-time, with opportunities for overtime.
SUMMARY: As a Grade Level 2 Maintenance Technician at Continental Diamond Tool, you will be responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency and safety. This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting repairs, and executing preventive maintenance tasks. The technician will also support the fabrication of custom tooling, fixtures, and equipment as needed to meet production requirements.
In addition to hands-on maintenance duties, the technician will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on various projects, contributing technical expertise to improve equipment reliability, process efficiency, and workplace safety. This position requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems, basic electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
HOURS: 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
DUTIES:
Required to read, understand, and follow blueprints/Engineering drawing, direction from leadership on the tasks/projects you are asked to do.
Use and maintain all tools, equipment, and maintenance areas.
Able to take direction and communicate/work with manufacturing and/or engineering on process improvements and problem solving.
Utilizes forklift and/or overhead lifting equipment, chains, slings, and magnetics to safely lift, move and store materials
Utilize manlifts to perform work at elevated levels
Ability to trouble shoot equipment failures, supply information to assist in repair up to and including finding replacements parts for ordering
Able to generate parts and material lists for projects
Able to solve and repair common facility issues
Able to complete projects/tasks with little or no direction/supervisionMaintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and properly using and maintaining PPE
Perform other duties as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Safely run and use required equipment
Correctly and accurately use, inspect, and maintain tools and equipment
Required to read and understand work instructions.
Highschool diploma or GED
PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Strong mechanical aptitude
3+ years of related experience
Functional and technical skills
Good communication skills
Attention to detail and have sound judgment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch
Frequently required to walk
Regularly lift and move up to 50lbs
