SUMMARY: To keep up with increasing demand, Continental Diamond Tool is expanding its 3rd shift, adding new departments at their primary manufacturing facility in New Haven, Indiana. CDT currently has openings for a number of entry-level, full-time 3rd shift positions.

HOURS: 3rd shift scheduled hours are Monday -Thursday 8:00 pm to 6:00 am. There is a $1.50/hr. shift premium for these entry-level, full-time positions with opportunities for overtime. Check out this video from one of our 3rd shift managers to learn more about what it's like working nights at CDT.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
While specific job functions vary based on the position, most positions require the ability to:

• Read and understand work instructions, paperwork, and drawings

• Safely run and use required equipment

• Perform inspections using scales, calipers, and micrometers

• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and properly using and maintaining PPE

• Report time and material in manufacturing systems

• Perform job functions and other duties as required

• High school diploma or GED

PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Good hand eye coordination

• Excellent attention to detail and have sound judgment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Use of hands, fingers, and arms to grasp, feel and reach

• Frequently required to walk

• Stand for long periods of time

• Seldom required to stoop, kneel, or crouch

• Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to work overtime when needed
